Ah, Fall. Crisp air, changing leaves, cool evenings...it has us digging out our sweaters and looking wistfully at yarn, pondering new projects to match the autumnal vibe.
If your fingers are itching to start a new project, but you're not sure what you should make or even what colors would work, we've gathered some ideas using one of our favorite yarns, Luna by Symfonie Yarns.
Luna is a luscious blend of 75% Merino Wool and 25% Silk. The resulting DK-weight yarn is iridescent, delightfully squishy, and adds effortless style to any project. If you find yourself in a milder climate (like Tennessee), this yarn is a great answer to transitional seasons like Fall: just enough warmth from wool with a silky drape, so it doesn't feel too heavy.
We have several colors of Luna currently in stock, but here are our favorite combos for Fall:
Bronze/Honey/Blue Sapphire
Blue Sapphire/Olive/Bronze
Bronze/Honey/Olive
Blue Sapphire/Olive/Honey
What draws us to these particular colors (Bronze, Honey, Olive, and Blue Sapphire) is that they are saturated, without being overpowering. They can be combined and re-combined in any order and also compliment each other!
If you are ready for post-summer colors, but aren't into the traditional Fall palette, try a dark silver paired with a jewel tone. The darker tones signal a change in seasons, but the choice in colors speak to a more contemporary style.
Silver Bangle and Rubelite. Add in Honey for a brighter contrast.
As a DK-weight yarn, Luna is perfect for quick-knit or crochet projects as well as larger items like cardigans and sweaters. Here a few patterns that we think would look stellar in Luna Yarn!
