Fall is one of my favorite seasons. Flannel, sweaters, bright red and yellow leaves, crisp air, apple cider, hay rides, and the list goes on...
As crafters, we were made for Fall. A season dedicated to the cozy side of life? Yes, please! We're welcoming Fall with classes and events dedicated to get you feeling cozy - and learning new craft skills while you're at it! We like to call this "Socktober."
October 7: SOCKTOBER Sale!
Join us on Saturday, October 7 for a special sale. All sock-weight yarns will be 10% off. If you're taking one of our sock classes, come by for personalized help gathering all your supplies!
October 12: SIP'N'STITCH
On October 12, we're taking a field trip! Join us for a relaxing evening of stitching and friendship at the Lilly Pad Hopyard Brewery in Lancing, TN on October 12 starting at 5PM! October 13: Let's Crochet Pumpkins!
What says "Fall" more than a cute little pumpkin? And this one you can use all Autumn long! If you know the basics of crochet and would like to learn a new stitch, then this class is for you! Class includes 1 skein of worsted-weight yarn, stuffing, and material to make stem. You just need to bring your crochet hook, the pattern, and your awesome self!
Starting October 14: Learn to Crochet Socks!
Socks aren't just for knitters - crocheters can enjoy making socks too!
Join us over 4 Saturdays (October 14, 21, November 4, & 11) as we learn to make the warm and cozy "Segue Sock" designed by Deanne Ramsay. We'll learn how to work in the round, practice increases and decreases, and get really familiar with creating texture using post stitches. By the end, you'll know how to crochet warm and cozy socks for the whole family!
October 14: I Love Yarn Day!
Imagine 1 million knitters and crocheters, each teaching 1 million more, all on the same day. The Crafty Yarn Council is calling all knit and crochet teachers, designers, bloggers, guilds, yarn groups, yarn shops and anyone that loves yarn to teach on ILYD!
We're answering the call by offering a *FREE* Learn to Knit class. Class size is limited to 4 participants - so be sure to sign up today!
October 19: Sit'n'Stitch
Join all your fiber friends and make new ones at our Thursday night Sit'n'Stitch! This is a casual, crafting get-together for stitchers of all skill levels and crafts. Feel free to bring a snack and (non-alcoholic) drink and whatever your WIP is that week! We can't wait to stitch with you!
Starting October 21: Learn to Knit Socks
Whether you are a newer knitter looking to build your skills - or a seasoned stitcher who has never made socks - it's a great time to learn how to knit your first pair of socks!
Over 4 Saturdays (October 21, November 4, 11, and 18), we'll work through a beginner-friendly pattern - learning how to make socks section by section from cuff to toe.
All classes are limited to 4 participants, require early-registration, and may require different materials. Click on events to read more about each class, gather your materials, and sign up!
