Add warmth to your floors and something truly unique to your home with this handwoven chunky knit rug. There are a few imperfections that were a result of the weaving process, but that only reminds us that a person made it.
We wove this rug by hand on a peg loom in our home studio in Harriman, TN. We started with 100% wool as the warp threads. For the body of the rug, we chose a wool-blend super-chunky knit yarn. The rope-like construction of this chunky yarn combined with the soft texture makes this rug very plush! It would also work great as a "lap-ghan" or runner across the foot of the bed, to keep your feet warm at night!
This is a true heritage piece that will provide warmth for many generations of feet!
